Adelong Falls NSW Waterplant Site of previous platypus adventure

Our very first platypus in the wild, this was shot with my mobile phone at Adelong falls. Pictured is a female. This shy little creature is a scientific curiosity. It has a bill like a duck, lays eggs, males have a poisonous spur, has fur through which it exudes milk.
